Condor---Media type on a 2200?

Condor---Media type on a 2200?

2007-04-03 by fredila2

Hi,

I'm trying Condor Bright white on my Epson 2200. The Hawk Mountain web
site recommends Watercolor Radiant White as the media type.

That type does exist on the Epson pull down list but does not appear in
the QTR list. Can you tell me the equivalent media type in QTR?

Thanks very much,

Fred

Fred

In QTR (as far as I understand it, someone might want to correct me) is
different than other drivers in general - and the Epson driver in
particular. For the 2200 Media Type is not used and should be left at Matte
Paper. For other printers, media type may be used to determine how the
printer mechanically handles the paper. For actual printing (i.e. the
application of ink to the paper), characteristics of the media are addressed
by the curve chosen.

Hi Tom,

Just to be sure I understand you.

Are you saying that the Media Type setting in QTR has no impact when
printing with the 2200? If so, does that mean it can be set on Matte
regardless of the type of paper being used?

I also assume the setting in the 2200 print driver has no impact on
the process???

Thanks for your help.

Fred

I replied to this earlier using the Yahoo website. It hasn't been posted, so
I'll try again.

Yes.

If you are referring to the Epson print driver, its setting has no impact on
QTR. I use a PC so I don't see the QTR driver directly. I speak to QTRgui.
