QTR and the old Epson 1280

2006-12-12 by photo77007

I have successfully installed and used the qtr on my Epson 9600, but
when I try the software on my 1280 all I get is very vivid red colored
prints.
Anyone have any suggestions...besided get a new printer...
Thank you,

I don't believe there are any curves for the 1280 using COLOR
ink.....are there? My 1280 just won't die either. They're hearty
little beasts!

George
It sounds like you are trying to use QTR with Epson inks. QTR doesn't
support this inkset on the 1280. If I'm correct you could consider getting
one of the 1280 compatible inksets from MIS.

George,

When you switched to the 1280, did you download the 1280 QTR curves?
The 9600 and 1280 have some of the tinted inks in different positions.

George and Chris,

After reviewing the list of printer and ink combinations supported by
QTR for the 9600 and 1280, I should have more accurately asked if the
inkset you are using is supported on both printers and if you
downloaded the 1280 versions of the curves for whatever inkset you are
using?
