I downloaded the .jpg file and printed it using my current profile for
Ilford Smooth Glossy created with PrintfixPro and printed through
Photoshop CS2,and am not sure what it is that I should be looking for.
I see offset gradations pretty much all the way through.

Your friend in Photography,

Johnny

If the black to white gradient is not exactly smooth, you will see very
faint (hopefully) or stronger diagonal streaks (upper left to lower
right). You will need to illuminate the ramp well and look carefully
from directly above to a shallower angle.

Another test is to print out Keith Cooper's excellent B&W test print
and look at the circular gradient (look for streaky rings) and the
diagonal wall (look for radial streaks around the upper end of the
wall).

The advantage to the offset gradient is that you can determine the
approximate location of the problem (0-100% scale).

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
