Michael, The X900 printers will have 10 channels available at a time: K (MK or PK), LK, LLK,C, LC, M, LM, Y, O, and G. If we take one channel for GLOP, we are left with K + 4 gray dilutions. Essentially, a dual K5 system is possible. Of course, some dilutions can be shared. In which case a hybrid dual K6 can be configured. I can imagine the either darkest gray to be shared, or even the lightest gray. Now the possibilities open up quite a bit. Personally, I would opt for dual quad (K4) which are the same warm ink backbone. This would help with smoothness (similar to Roark's multi channel BO), and reduced likelihood of banding artifacts, and add high gamut color toners in other positions. But that is my opinion only. I know some find high gamut inks an anathema. Now I need to butter-up my wife so as to buy the 4900. Good times!
