Just found this old thread. I'm planning to buy an Epson r285 for experiments with B&W ink setups (in addition to my Epson 3800 with OEM inks). As QTR does not list the R285, my assumption is that I should indeed use the R280 option, as supposed to be the US equivalent to the European R285. Does the described trick for Mac also work for PC (Vista)? I'd rather know before ending up with an printer I can't use....;-) Joost
