QTR-Quadtone RIP

I am experiencing the sameproblem. I am convinced that the printer is
the problem. Close inspection reveals that some of the darker patches
are indeed lighter than they ought to be. 

I am experimenting with letting the ink dry overnight to see if the
problem can arise from rubbing off ink that is not yet comletely dry.
