Well I fooled with this for about six eight hours ... and I have only managed to give myself a few more gray hairs .. in the end I have pushed things along .. to a new place but I am still unable to make it work. Where I am now is I used rendezvous to add a printer to the printer list in the printer set up utility. When I print with this set up it is able to find the printer and make a print, however I am unable to get the curve profiles to work. When I run the Profile install script from the QTR download to get the profiles it creates a Quad4800 in the print list. The Quad4800 has the curves ... but can not find the printer when I try to print with it. The rendezvous setup has no curves but can print. I spent hours trying to get this work ... by installing and uninstalling with any slight variations I could think of. Frankly ... I am a little unsure why I have a rendezvous setup that now works even without the curves. So I am reluctant to uninstall this. any suggestions? michael --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "Roy Harrington" <roy@...> wrote: > > I use 1.4.10 and a 3800 connected with ethernet.
