I think you will find photographers who prefer Quadtone and others who
prefer ImagePrint. It is a matter a of personal taste -- in the same way as
paper choices or even chemical preferences in an old wet darkroom. There is
no right answer -- except the one you decide is right for you.

Given that you already have ImagePrint, I would download the Quadtone and
take it for a spin. It is a shareware so you do not have to pay anything up
front to try it out. If you like it, you can send in a check.

One advantage to the Quadtone is cost. But seeing as how you already have
ImagePrint, you'll be in a position of comparing the two print-by-print
without worrying about making a choice based on cost.

I seriously want to buy this Rip but need some input first. I posted
the following 10 days ago and have had zero responses. Did my post

friend that swears by the B&W quality of his Quadtone RIP. My question
then is what are the pros and cons of each. I would consider a second
