obvioulsy many people feel alternative methods are worth the effort. Most of them are pretty easy these days, little tinkering is really required. The only way you will know if these potential advantages are of interest to you is to see them for yourself in actual prints. There used to be the occassional print exchanges within these groups, I haven't seen notice of one in some time.
