QTR-Quadtone RIP

Trial installation on Mac 10.3.9/ Photoshop CS fine - but no profile in the box for Epson 
VFA paper (all I use). Tried Eenhmatte warm and cool, but yields a very dark and contrasty 
image (600 dpi .tifs of 6x9cm negs). Monitor image fine. Any help much appreciated.
