Eric You don't state whether you are using the PC or Mac version. I'll guess PC. The .qidf files are normally placed in (for your printer ink combination) c:\Program Files\QuadtoneRIP\Profiles\4800-uc However, the .qidf file is the source, but the "compiled" version is the .quad file. That must be in the correct location for the curve to be available for printing. To compile the your modified curve you must use QTRgui's Curve Creation window as follows: 1. use File/load to open your modified curve (qidf file) 2. make sure you have the Quad4800 printing model selected 3. Create Curve. That will transform the curve in to the format (.quad file) needed by the printing process and save it in the appropriate folder under QuadtoneRIP's Quadtone folder. The curve should then be available in QTRgui's curve dropdown box when you have the 4800 printing model selected. I have no idea what the raw and amp files are in the 4800 profile folder. Curious. I have customized a couple of curves to produce prints with a bit less magenta but they are not showing up in the drop down menu. I am using the 4800 UC K3 inks. I went to the profile folder and they are there. There are some other files in profile folder as well that may be pointers; some raw files. How do I get my customized profiles to work?
