She can probably log in to the group's home page, mosie around there 
until she finds her own preferences. Somewhere along the line her 
"blocker" probably started rejecting mail from the group. The group 
software replies with a tit-for-tat and then blocks her address ... 
until she does a "confirmation routine". She activates a confirmation 
request from her page and then replies to it from her email address once 
it reaches her.

That's my guess anyway.
