Hello again Roy,

Thanks for chiming in and providing the information concerning the 1440Super res on the 9900. In the current Epson drive it's now referred to as "SuperPhoto - 1440dpi". As you know, I was trying to print with 1440Super in QTR until you mentioned the fact that you usually suggest 2880. Of course when I tried that it worked perfectly. Then I received an email reply to my original post here and he said he could use all of the res settings in QTR on his 9900(same OS etc.), so then I was really confused. What you have just mentioned here made ultimate sense, so I tried it immediately with the UCpk_HmGloss_Neutral curve and of course it printed at 1440. However, a comparison between the 1440 and 2880 res showed quite a difference in overall quality. The dot pattern was considerably more coarse in the 1440 version and the blacks were not nearly as deep. My conclusion, never use 1440 - 2880 only. My original thought was that I could probably use 1440 on canvas, since it is more forgiving. I think that would likely be true if it was actually 1440Super, but definitely not 1440. When printing colour the difference between SuperPhoto - 1440 and 2880 is much more subtle, so my everyday work for customers is printed at SuperPhoto - 1440, unless instructed otherwise.

I'm going to be making some very in depth notes to put in my QTR Folder so that I won't have to bother you again in another year with the same issue. Thanks again for your help in this matter Roy.
