Re: cannot load saved curve after upgrade

2015-02-22 by fallrivereditions@...

Richard, thanks for replying.

I have an Epson 7900, OEM inks, and use QTR only for creating digital negatives for alt-processes.

What I was describing was after choosing "Copy curve from" on the Cyan, The option to select "K" was not available but was grayed out. Likewise for ALL other colors. This was after discovering that QTR ver. 2.7.5 would not even load existing curves that worked just fine with the older version. I have since removed the new version and re-installed 2.7.2 which works just fine.

What I am doing is creating a custom "linearization" curve for the black, then having all colors (except LK which I use as "gray" for the black boost) follow this single curve. No cross-over nonsense. That was a nightmare to try and work out as a negative then print in platinum. Others have been using a single curve for digi-negs with success, and it seems to work for me as well.
