Re: Device for creating curves/profiles

2015-02-17 by richard@...

Sandy, I'm sorry, but I don't know. I think the newer reference file formats use XML to format the patches, but I don't know about how it actually works. I looked up at an existing CMYK CGATS reference file format that worked with i1 Profiler and copied the header information so it would work with both PM5 Measure Tool and 1i Profiler. I just save it as .txt and tell i1 Profiler to open CGAT format ref files. i1 Profiler has three or four extra lines in the header that are needed for it to work, but the extra lines don't get in the way with using MeasureTool. However, since it is getting data for CMY also you might need to get deleted those readings before dropping it on the LinearizeData script.

I made a 86x4 random target using excel and a random number generator to scramble the patches so I could read it in MeasureTool and i1 profiler. It didnt really work for what i was getting at so I went back to the 51 step.

Here is the header info for the 51 step target. You can modify the number of data sets, and the LGOROWLENGTH to change how many rows and the letter defines how many patches per row (A1, A2, A3 ... U1, U2, U3)

LGOROWLENGTH 3
