QTR-Quadtone RIP

I do not use Windows 8, but I do all of my Quadtone digital neg profiling and printing from a Windows XP partition.  The text edit file that you create on the Mac side is equivalent to the .qidf file on the Windows platform.  If you change the file suffix from .txt to .qidf, you will be able to open the file in the Quadtone RIP Graphical User Interface on the Windows machine.  Probably a good idea to make a copy of the profile
first.  When you save the ink descriptor file (.qidf) out of the Curve Creator (in the "tools" menu) it will save a .quad file   in the Quadtone application files.

On machine, the .qidf files are located c:\program files\quadtoneRIP\bin

And the .quad files are located:  c:\programfiles\quadtoneRIP\Quadtone\Quad3880
