Change of Policy - Warranty Repairs

Change of Policy - Warranty Repairs

2006-10-24 by (i think you can figure that out)

All Plan B modules are warrantied for 1 year from the time of purchase
for Manufacturer defects. This warranty is transferable, meaning if
you sell the unit before the warranty has expired, it remains active
for the course of the first year regardless of it's current owner.

Manufacturer defects are defined as problems which arise due to issues
caused by Plan B. Basically, something we screwed up.

This does not however include a user plugging a module's power in
backwards and although we've received over 12 units back for this -
WE HAVE NEVER CHARGED A CUSTOMER OR DEALER FOR THE REPAIR COSTS OF
THOSE MODULES. As a note, the repair costs for a single Model 15
blown due for this reason run about $15 in parts alone, not inlcuding
labor for assembly and troubleshooting.

We've addressed this issue long term by developing the Model 1 PSS and
as of today they will be avaliable for sale at our US dealer, Analogue
Haven. The Model 1 will protect up to 5 modules from reversed power
connections.

Please be aware that with the Model 1's release, PLAN B WILL NO LONGER
HONOR WARRANTY REPAIRS FOR MODULES BLOWN DUE FOR REVERSED POWER
CONNECTIONS. We will be more than happy to get your unit up and
running again and in most cases we turn these units the day we receive
them - but we can no longer do this type of repair free of charge.

So Keep you eye on the red band and thank you for understanding this.

Hi Peter,
I was such an idiot with a reverse connection. I sent it back to
Schneider'sBüro (a model 10),
and the technician repaired it near 100 %. Now he needs some information
from you to
repair the rest (the lfo repeat doesn'twork). Will you give him some help?
All the best
Axel
