M15 CV attenuation

M15 CV attenuation

2006-09-18 by Michael Wagner

Hello there,

I got a Plan B M15 from Analog Haven a few months ago and it's indeed
a an awesome oscillator! I'll probably order another one, as soon as
my cash flow allows it...

But still, there is one thing that bothers me: the missing attenuation
on the morph and PWM inputs... My system is quite small, so sometimes,
it's almost impossible to sacrifice a mixer or a VCA for that matter.
Is it possible (and if so, is it easy) to mod the M15 for CV input
attenuation of these two inputs? Or do any affordable small modules
exist in eurorack-format, which do exactly that?

Thanks for any input on this...
-Michael

it's VERY easy to do this, as well as adding a soft-to-hard sync
pot...the issue is the space in which to do them. Sean "plexi' Price
incorporated both these features into his two M15's. He used a peice
of aluminum which was cut 2 cm wide x the height ofa Euro rack module
- the same width as Doepfer 'skinny' modules, such as the Mult.

On it he placed the pots required to add these two features. He
placed this panel between the two VCO and ran wires to each. It
worked out great. While I'm a bit too busy at this very moment to
post these mods, let me see if I can get to it tonight. If i forget,
someone remind me.

But rememmber - mods mean no more warranty. If you're unit is less
than a year old you might wish to consider this.

It might be easy DIY project, but Analogue Solutions have ATT4 passive
attenuator:
