Earth to Plan B blog, come in Plan B, over [pause] Earth to Plan...

Hi. Things have calmed down here and you may be wondering why. We've had some work take care of. With the large part of that done,it's time to start the blog percolating and I was the guy with that charge. We have some announcements (all good..phew!) coming in the next or few days, the first involving a FREE firmware upgrade for one of our microprocessor-based instruments which will have lot of you pleased. With our beta period over and bug reports filed (there were zero), we'd like to thank those of you who took the time out of your own schedules to accept our invitation to beta test and run it through it's paces, and especially those of you who did audio examples. The second announcement is about a new module which is coming quite soon, and it's an important one. This post won't happen until there is a quantity at our dealer for immediate sale, but I have it from a good source that it's not far off. The third announcement I can talk about now. I'm taking my first weekend off since February - yay! I visited a friend down in Temecula yesterday, a glorious day but a long one. She raises, breeds, sells, sells the wool and hand spins yarn from 100 head of sheep on her ranch which is in the middle of blessed nowhere in the beautiful rolling hills of eastern San Diego county. Today I cracked open a Andy Warhol puzzle I got at the thrift store while we were in Pomona. It's the Marilyn silkscreen. I love Warhol's work. I love that piece and I have a print of it hanging and got the idea (as probably everyone else who buys the thing does) I wondered if, when it's done, I can somehow glue it to a piece of foam core without it falling apart and hang it as well, you know..with one of the pieces suspended out from the others by pins like you would to a specimen of some sort of rare butterfly. Four hours into it I've found the mates for 25 pieces with about 1,000,00 remaining. The thing is..it's not even fun. I don't even 'get' puzzles actually and am considering contacting the company about getting one preassembled. But really I have to finish it, my new coffee table is going to break from the weight of all those pieces laying on top of it. This post is starting to sound like an Andy Rooney monologue, and it can't because I need to touch upon something I talked about at the beginning. I hope that over the past few months and the cluster that pursued that none of you lost faith in Plan B, although I know that's a lofty expectation on my part. If you have, I hope that the final outcome and the new course in the months which follow will allow you to gain your trust again and I can with all sincerity thank the Muff list for putting me straight and keeping me on task. I...not 'us', 'we'. or 'the company', made a big mess of things and it's taken an age to pull us (that time it's applicable) out and I want to make a final written apology here to those of you I've effected as a result. I'll have you know that there wasn't a minute gone by in the last seven months when it hasn't crept though my lobe by way of whatever region of the brain produces guilt and remorse. To everyone effected directly and those who weren't but who have been outraged regardless: I am sorry. OK, let's get on to new business, again I thank everyone for being a member. Look for a post in vicinity of this week about the firmware change Welcome back! - P
