After some thought, I have decided that the Mini Milton will not be
microp based.  Instead we're calling on the original design, a
variation of the circuit used in the board kit which was released some
years back.  So not analog as all sequencers are digitally based, but
done with individual logic chips with some design innovations which
were not part of it's first edition. 

The main consideration here was price.  It's my intent to offer an
affordable alternative for multiple sequencers within a single system
and I'd like to release this module at around the same price point as
the Model 15. Given that most o, i's incorporation with the 21C
translated to more parts, more cost with no additional performance
benefits.

Here's a useless philosophical question-- Is there a sharp distinction between digital and analog? If you hook up a bunch of analog components in the right way, you can get a computer. Meow.

Will this module also be thinner than the older PlanB modules with the
paralel boards instead of perpendicular?  It seems with the Model 15
getting thinner (I finally saw a Rev 3 M15 at Big City), and the
thickness of the joystick, the PlanB line is maybe getting thinner?
i.e. thinner cases...  No complaints here, I like the slimmed down
look.

The mini milton, like all new products (outside of ELFs) will have the
new jacks thus will be of the thin variety.

Unfortunately I'll still need Cliffs for ELFs.  There's no option
there and trust me, I wish there was as they are still a source of
constant aggravation. 

I was successful in getting them to stock the good jacks (after two
years of whining), and to keep our supplies coming I followed their advise and placed a 18,000 piece blanket order over a year's time...and they still can't seem to deliver regularly.

Finally got a shipment in last week which we needed ...and there were
25 pieces in the envelope.  25 pieces. So yeah, they're a joke. plus
they cost four times as much as the new jacks which have a superior
design to put it mildly.

Just out of curiosity what's the deal with Cliff jacks?  Are there reliability issues with them or 
is it (as it seems below) mainly a supply issue?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
