Plan B user's studio spaces
2008-12-30 by (i think you can figure that out)
I thought it be a nice addition to post photos of some of the workspaces used by the Plan B's and to that end have added a folder to the photos section entitled "Plan B User Studios" So, I though I'd start with mine. You'll see three photographs. The first outlines ground zero - the recording/editing area. The second photo is a legend of what you're looking at in that first snap and the third picture The Beast itself. I've got a new table for the synth which will be installed this week - another Ikea Jerker, the same one used for the editing station (back when Ikea actually made things of quality...they now pretty much sux). There's a caveat to the new desk though: I've thrown away the normal desktop and am replacing it with a sheet of 3/4 inch birch with a gloss poly finish which is cut close to the width of the main cabinet (30 inches). The two side wings will be held in place by two swivel attachments, also made by Ikea for the Jerker series which are again fitted with custom platforms that hug the footprint of the side wings. These attachments are the same shown in the first photo which the Teac meter Bridge rests. I invite more of you to upload snaps of your workspaces. I've always found this of great interest - not only the tools people use to create their specific sound environs but how it's setup. So please do!
