Milton Sequencer question

Milton Sequencer question

2008-06-04 by lexvortex

Hi Peter,

I really love the Milton sequencer and want to get one but
unfortunately I'm in MOTM format and the tiny little Deopfer 1/8th
inch jacks will not work for me.

So I am considering building a Milton from the kit supplied at Big
City Music, but unfortunately they do not supply the PIC needed for
correct full async operation which to me is one of the coolest
functions it has to offer.

Is there any way to get one of these PIC chips, either from you or
maybe I can get one made with the code for the chip from you?

Thanks,
Dave

You can always get adaptors or "balanced" patch cables (one side 1/4, the other 1/8). That would probably be cheaper and less time consuming.

I would really like to preserve the MOTM look too, and save money by
building the Milton. From experience, using adapters is kind of a pain.

I just want to know if the PIC chip is or will be available.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Milton Sequencer question

Just so you guys know...I'm not trying to intentionally drop support
of the Milton kits. The guy who wrote/owned the code and supplied the
PICs for the Milton has gone missing. I have a copy of the code, I
could do bootleg copies, but dong that would violate the guy's
copyrights which is totally uncool and as well put me at risk of
infringement.

In short I need to either hire someone else to rewrite it form scratch
or do it myself. It's on the list, but unfortunately the list is long...
