Thats great news Peter....much relief has been felt over this...long
as they look the same from the front(plus 100%reliable) and it seems
like it will work out better all round for you regards cheaper
manufacture of these and other changes you may have to make don't seem
to be a problem to you.. Any way regardless, if you have to use round
nuts I like your offer of a replacement/exchange down the track...if
yer have to go that way. And hats off to Deet....if you say he's the
man ...he's gotta be a good dude. Lots to be said for generosity of
spirit....now back to those round nuts....The roundish nuts I have I
am happy with and these are the only ones I would prefer were not
hexagonal.
cheers.

my regards to you and all those you happen to meet.

The mechanical structure of the new jacks is completely different.
The jack end goes into a chamber and the tip pushes the tp contact
from the NC lead and in so doing breaks that contact and connects the
to the NO jack. There's no way for it to be intermittent. Plus that
action of moving the lead over assures a good solid 'click' as its
inserted.

While the jacks are an important feature of a module, what we really
want to hear about are the *new* modules. C'mon Peter, kick down with
some newz brah! (in the best Santa Cruz Accent I can muster).
