Novice Question Model 12

Hello All, I apologize in advance if I misuse any terminology or am missing any elementary concepts. My question is this: I notice that when I use the model 12 in Low Pass mode (LP out), and the frequency cutoff is all the way open (whether saw or pulse is fed through), the sound is quite a bit darker than other filters I have. It seems as if there is high end content missing, as if the cutoff is at, say, 2 o'clock on other LP filters. This is obviously somewhat subjective but to me it is very noticeable. In HP, BP, and AP modes, the high end is present. Is this normal behavior for this filter? Might it need some work? Thanks in advance, Adam
