I'm pulling myself off the ground after giving the first listen to the second Mark II change to the Model 12 - and I would highly recommend you do this one as well. The pot used for the 6dB/12 dB select is currently a 100K linear. If you have the means, replace it with a 1meg linear. You can get these from Futurlec.com for $.50 each. There will be only two wires to desolder on one and resolder on the new one. It should take a second. The way it's connected now makes this very very easy. YOu unsrew the pot, it'll then just hang in air. Take a close look where the wires are currently attached and put them on the same terminals on the new pot. ou can easilyremove the heat shrink with one cut with a razor blade or xacto across it's length. This change dramatically increases the response in the lower spectra. While I don't have a spectrum analyser here (hint for my XMAS gift - hint hint), it sounds like the first three harmonics. It is a dramatic change which gives the filter a large boost in it's testosterone levels, if you get my drift. This one is easoer than the other change (the switch - no drilling. You guys should consider this - you'll like it. I'l post some sound snamples in a but, but mp3 compression being what it iis, it may not come through. - P
