Nick, With all due respect, that's not the point I'm making. Heck, forget what's been on Dieter's site for a year, this is a voltage divider, day 1, lesson 2 of DC electronics 101. An application of Ohms law. They've been doing this since the turn of the 20th century. The point I'm making is a dual 4HP attenuator is already there, the Model 36 which has been shipping in numbers since August. The ELFs were a good idea, I figured there would be others popping up But there's only seven other 4hp modules fitted with pots in exsistance right now and a legion of modules yet to be ELF'd which could easily be parred down to fit on 4HP. It's just kinda silly to duplicate one of the seven that just showed up. Tolkien would be proud...the ELF WARS have begun! - P --- In PLAN_B_analog_blog@yahoogroups.com, zaum <zaum@...> wrote: > > Well the same schematic for this extremely simple circuit has been on > the Doepfer's own DIY page for around a decade > http://www.doepfer.de/DIY/a100_diy.htm > > So really you can't draw much out of it besides: > > There aren't all that many ways to lay it out a space saving panel size. > > Dieter had been suggesting you make one your self though perhaps > requests or perhaps seeing something similar out there. > > Peter is adding some genuine extras in terms of functionality so I > guess so as long as he is able to deliver from stock there is nothing > to complain about. > > Nick >
