Re: [Mellotronists] Best Mellotron or Chamberlin tape combinations...?

2002-05-20 by J.K.Beresford

Hi Derrick,
The best sounds on mine apart from the usual 3 violins, 8 choir,
flute, brass etc are the oboe/cor anglais - which is sublime, the
church organ - which is the best I've ever heard (make sure your
windows are in in tight!) and mixes well with choir, classic strings
is lovely and very light and airy. I've also got male choir which gives
me the shivers - but I've not heard the new russian choir yet so that
may be a good choice.
