I remember the RW performance. Wasn't it
on a quiz show called Bygones? Mint and boxed old Stylophones are
supposedly still available from the manufacturers' website.

This has reminded me of an appearance by Wakeman on a (comedy) quiz show
on British TV - he was provided with about 10 or 12 stylophones on stands
in an arc
around him (a la his grandiose stage set up) and asked to perform.
This also made my day.
I think the show was about innovations (mainly from the 60s and 70s) that have
passed into kitsch classics or have been entirely forgotten - maybe someone on
the list remembers the show and can elucidate?
