Mellotronists

i finally got around to reading the REALLY long interview with
mr townshend from the august 2007 issue of "eq" magazine. on
page 45 of the issue, he is asked by the interviewer:

EQ: How come you never got into using the Mellotron?
Or did you try it and decide it was something you didn't like?

PT: They had one at IBC as soon as they came out in 1967 - the
Bee Gees had asked for it. I thought it was horrible.

[he then goes on to talk about a Lowry organ he liked and how
much he digs Ableton Live software...]

in his defense [like he needs me to defend him...] he actually
is VERY technically adept and savvy.


so will his endorsement be part of the new marketing campaign?
would make a lovely tee shirt.
