Hello Dave et all...

The previous owner of your car was Dr steven Knee, of new mexico. He
actively raced the car in the 70's. Whenever he won a race (often!!)
many offers were made to buy the car. This car was the factory
prototype/mule for the Rover motor installation. All of his gearing
changes were made by changing tire sizes. I restored his Abarth Simca
(seen to the left of the 1st photo) and the Marcos was next. Then he had
a heart attack and died. That's how the car came up for sale. This was
the car that inspired me to seek a Marcos of my own.

Latest update on my car coming soon.

Hello Bob and everyone
I think I e-mailed you Bob when I was first looking to buy
the Marcos from Len Drake . That is great news confirming the
origionality of the V8 installation . I have made a few compromises
during the restoration as far as "improving" on the origional.Although
anything that I have changed can be put back to origional if wanted.
Thanks for the pics I have added them to my album.
         Regards Dave #5577

Dave,

I just looked at the pics of the Marcos and it is definately your car, not mine. It looked great back then. I was also not aware of it's racing history. I regret I never had a chance to see it when Dr. Knee owned here in New Mexico.
