Marcos 3 Liter prototype 1968

Marcos 3 Liter prototype 1968

hello, does anybody know something concerning the Marcos 3liter
prototype from 1968,. I know it is somewhere in the states. I saw it
racing in 1968 at raining Spa-Franchorchamps and took some photos and
even a super 8 movie. This shows the prototype ,coming just in time
to the start, beeing caried on a ridiculous small trailer, being
pushed in position and starting from the rear, then racing down the
hill (with water-fontaines behind) to Eau Rouge, and also pit stop
(they had trouble with wet electric). It was the only race, this
impressive car competed. After this Marcos Ltd closed its doors for a
decade.
I just added one picture to the photo page in this MarcosManiacs-
site, showing it from the rear in the paddock after the race, already
on the trailer for going back to Wiltshire after this desaster.
Who knows more about this rare item of Marcos racing history?

Hello Klaus
I think you are referring to what I call the Le Mans Car
Some times referred to as the XP
This car is owned by a family called Roberts and they live
in California USA
I do believe that there address in one of the MOC mag's "Torque".
If you cannot get any further with your enquiries ,get in touch and I will try to dig out
the Roberts address.
Regards Jac.
