Marcos

2017-08-31 by Denman Mike

Hi Don,
I haven’t seen or talked to you in a long time….I thought you had sold your Marcos. I still have my Marcos 1800 which I have been vintage racing for the last 6 years or so. I will attach a current picture at the end of this email.
The reason I am writing is to see if you have the chassis numbers for the Marcos cars owned by Steve Frey in your data base. I know that Steve used to own 3 Marcos cars and one of them was an 1800. Actually, I would be interested in the chassis number for any Marcos 1800 (World wide) and who owns them that you might have in your database. I have been working with David Rattee in the UK who is compiling a list of all the 1800’s and who currently owns them. We are trying to account for the entire production run of 106 cars so any numbers you can provide could help fill in some of the blanks.
Thanks,
Mike Denman

Hi Mike, Hope all is well. Yes, I sold the Marcos to a gent in Redwood City. I've been moderating this site since 2001 so just thought I'd continue unless someone wants to step up and take over.

I only have Steve Frey's 1971 3L serial # (3V5956). Don't have numbers for his 1968 1600 or his 1800.

David Rattee has gone thru my list and we found one that was in Florida that I had the wrong info on. Other than that, I don't have any more info regarding 1800s'. David is the most reliable source of info. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Take care.

Are you looking for Luke? He's the only other owner I know here, we're both in RWC.

Not looking for Luke. I'm the one who sold my car to Luke. There are 8 Marcos owners (including yourself) in the Bay Area that I'm aware of. They are listed in the Registry in the "files" section of this site.
