Dual Master Cylinder

Dual Master Cylinder

2014-03-28 by <hide809rig169@...>

Trying to get back to work on the Marcos project, curious. What if any, dual master cylinder will fit the Marcos and still allow the pedals to have plenty of forward travel? My car came with a dual, Triumph Spitfire or some type of Triumph looking master cylinder. The reservoir was at an angle, not the cylinder itself. The internal plastic divider had been broken so brake fluid could flow between reservoir chambers. The pedals did not travel all the way forward, the reservoir would hit the fiberglass cover over the pedals. What are the other solutions? New pedals with a kink forward? Try to fit two master cylinders side by side, like a race car? Not sure there is room for that. Should be back with fiberglass next week, now that the MK1 Mini is a driver. Thanks for the information, Steve V. Marcos in Arizona

Steve,
Rory, at Heritage, should have the correct master

Larry,

Thanks for the reply. Last time I checked, Marcos Spares had no dual circuit master cylinder, need to ask again. They suggested extending the pedals forward. Hope to get to the sunroof this next week. Need to pull it off the shelf see what I have. Steve V. Marcos in Arizona
