A new member from the South Plains

2009-09-06 by tjinsa

I've always liked the Marcos marque, and recently became pumped at the aspect of getting a decent steel chassis Essex v6 car, but word this a.m. was it sold. CRAPPOLA. I've already started trying to gather more information from the old messages and was pleased to find this group with members here in the 'States. Hopefully, in the next year or so I'll also join in with a mechanical compadre'. Until then, I'll keep looking for a Ford-powered example.

Welcome to the group.
I am not sure if it is for sale, but there was a Marcos about 12 miles from me in a barn here in Florida. My vet. has been housing it for some time and the owner lives on the east coast near West Palm.
If you would be interestd, I would be glad to check it out for you.
Best regards,
Larry

Thanks to all for the kind greetings,

I've not been one for a show car, as I have autocrossed, opentracked, and rallyed anything I've owned or could borrow. I'm not looking for a basket case as I have a couple of them already, and I had done half a dozen chassis-up restos already. A driver that would not be hurt by performance upgrades would be ideal. I have lots of Ford experience, which is why I'm looking for a V6 model. I'm not looking to go past 15K, and would balance a sub $10k car price against what it needs. I do realize this may not be realistic, but I'm not hot to get one right now, but the right one when it comes along.

Best Regards to all,
Tom Kubler
