Hal,

I recently installed new AVO shocks all around. Got them from the UK -
www.avouk.com

They have Marcos listed in their catalog on the website(a surprise).
They are adjustable for damping and also for ride height (threaded
tube). I am quite pleased with them after the first 1000 miles or so.
I did raise the rear 1/2" which was impossible with the Spax shocks.

My total came to just under $600 but that was partially my fault. I
ordered the fronts separate from the rears so had to pay $90 shipping
twice. Stupid.

My rear shocks have a loop at the top and a stem at the bottom. I
wanted to use HAL shocks and springs but they are 2.5 inch ID springs
vs. the AVO 2.25 inch ID springs. ONLY the AVOs' would fit on my car.
Even had to grind a little of the bracket (trailing arm) so they would
fit.

Just be careful.

And I would also like to know where all these ads are for Marcii !!

Can't import 90's cars into California. I doubt anyplace else either
unless your Bill Gates.

Dear Don,

I just hope that Marcos will find a way to import its new TL250! But, then
again, why spoil a good thing within the Marcos Maniac Group!

It is my understanding, unless a Marcos is in "Kit" form then only pre-1974
(1973 or earlier) are allowable to be imported "legally" to the U.S. I do not
know if this applies to all British Sports cars or only the Marcos, however.

Best regards,

Robert
