Marcos Maniacs

Hi guys,

A strange one for you today! As I have never really sat in a Marcos 
(other than the one I am restoring), could any one tell me what areas 
of the interior are actually carpeted? how about below the rear 
screen? under the dash, the sill areas as you get in etc? would any 
one with a early metal framed car be able to get me some pictures so 
I know what should be carpeted and what should be covered in 
Vinyl/leather. Your help would be much appreciated.

Hi Ashley,

That's an easy one. The Marcos has carpet in the footwells, floor and walls,
but not the upper section under the dash. The side sills are carpeted, as is
the rear shelf under the rear window but there is no carpet under the seats.
The doors, dash, dash cover and centre console are vinyl/leather, as are the
seats and seat backs. I used leather in my car, though my seat tops and back
are velour so they are comfortable in the heat of the summer.

I think I'm right in thinking that Black was the only colour 
originally spec'd - Anyone know for sure?

Many thanks! I can now happily replace what looks like the corporate 
building floor tiles used to carpet my car! luckily all the right 
parts were 'carpeted' in this way so I can replcae it all safe in the 
knowledge that I am carpeting the right areas!, I think Marcos 
Heritage have a full carpet set available for just aroun £100-150 
depending on the quality.

More silly questions coming over the next couple of months!
