Don Lattimer with his girlfriend Tish, met me in San Jose in their new (1971)Marcos. I was in my 1966 Marcos 1800 and together we drove down to Monterey/Pacific Grove for the British Car meet registration. We intended to drive over the senic Santa Cruz mountains but traffic was backed up so we went the longer but faster and less senic route down highway 101. After we arrived we went to a local resturant called Tarpey's which is a favorite with the racing crowd party because it has good food and partly because it is near Laguna Seca race track. We had lunch and spent the next couple of hours talking Marcos stuff. Tish was a good sport to put up with all of this. Don has a really neat Marcos which he practically stole from one of the founders of Silicon Graphics. Both cars made the trip with no problems as we cruised at 80 mph. The weather ranged from the high nineties inland to a cool 65/70 degrees inland. We will post pictures soon. Since the Palo Alto event was cancelled, we are going to try and get all the local Marcos Owners to meet at a British car show in San Juan Bautista on Oct. 20 and 21. I can tell you that it is a lot of fun to tour with another Marcos. Judging from the amount of gawlking by the locals they liked it as well. Mike Denman 1966 Marcos 1800 Chassis # 4079
