Dave, ;Because the power windows in my '69/'70
car do not currently operate (the whole car does not operate either!), I have
looked closely at the mechanism which consists of an electric motor and a
small scissors jack assembly which raises and lowers the glass- also called a
regulator. It looks like a generic 1960s British power window assembly.
Since I was parting out a Jaguar Mk 10 (same as a later 420G) with power
windows, I removed two of the assemblies. They look like the same motor, though
the long "screw" part of the Mk 10 regulator is longer. It looks like I can
combine the Marcos regulator and the Jag motors to end up with working
units. I haven't attempted this yet, as I have a lot more important details
to attend to first. Maybe this weekend, I will try to confirm if the parts
interchange. Any other leads anyone?
Donny Lang - "69 or '70 RHD V-4 "unknown
number" imported to Long Island in the early 1980s, Originally yellow,
now red at least since the early 1980s. Any leads on my car's
number?
