There may a casting number on the back of the part. Wilmot Breeden made most of the "pot metal" stuff like door handles and there is usually a number cast into the back of their pieces.
Wilmot Breeden is still in business, but doesn't do much more than industrial handles etc. I don't know if they do automotive anymore.
A small outfit in England called Ashwater Forge and Foundry was doing castings, but I don't know if they would be able to help. They will do special orders in quantity.
You might want to get in touch with some of the Austin clubs, who may have gotten members together to place a bulk order.

Re: Nice to meet you!
Hi Ash,
On the early cars including my 1966, the door locks are from an Austin A40. This includes the lock mechanism which is in the round push button, the round cylinder "cam" which is behind the push button and locks the door by rotating with the key and the hardware behind the cam that attaches to the rod that runs to the door interior handle on one side and to the striker plate on the other side and the striker plate itself. The only part from the Austin A40 that wasn't used was the exterior door handle itself (the Marcos has the door handle molded into the door edge). The other thing you need to know is that the door locks are different on the left side from the right side. One side is a "mirror image" of the other side, so they are not interchangeable although some of the parts are (very few actually). Interestingly, the interchange list on the web site only lists one part number i.e..BL 14A 4485. My receipt from Mr. Maslin doesn't list a part number at all and he didn't ask for one although he was concerned that I knew which model of Austin I was talking about. By the way, the 20 pounds I paid was only for the locks themselves, I had the rest of the mechanism. The trunk (boot) uses a MGB bezel but I am not sure about the lock itself. Later cars used a different type of lock on the doors but I am not sure when the switch to the new door locks took place. I will post a copy of the door locks diagram from the Austin A40 manual in the photo's section of the Marcos Maniacs Yahoo site (I'm not sure if this chat list will allow attachments).
Best regards,
