This is an invitation to join the Marcos Owners Club.  I have attached an
introductory letter which describes the history and services offered by the
Club.  However, I can tell you from personal experience that the Club
magazine, "Torque", is alone worth the annual membership.  In addition, the
Club was invaluable when I recently had to replace the windscreen on my
Mantis - this is a piece of glass that can not be obtained anywhere, but I
got a new one through the Club.

I have just volunteered to be a North America Area Coordinator for the Club.
One of the services I have undertaken is to solicit new members, and to make
it more convenient for all members to pay the annual dues.  I know that many
Marcos enthusiasts have been put off by the inconvenience of having to go to
the bank, purchase a UK money order, and pay the hefty bank fee.  From now
on, you will be able to pay by cheque or money order in US or Canadian
dollars - I will take care of converting to UK Pounds and sending it on the
the Club.  (Current members: I will contact you prior to your membership
expiry date; this will work for you too).

So, please take a moment to read the attached.  Fill out the application
form and e-mail (or mail) it back to me.  If you have any questions, feel
free to e-mail me at ronald.mcleod@....  If you receive more than
one copy of this message, I apologize - I am mailing to the old Marcos
Maniacs e-mail list as well, and there are undoubtedly duplicates.
