Mike, I have re done 3 Marcos sunroof instalationn and installed (cut hole in roof) one new one from the factory, and none had the metal reinforcments. These were the steel frame chassis cars. I have removed the sun roof and found two steel contoured supports under the fabric headliner. One of the supports is immediately in front of the sun roof and the other is immediately behind the sun roof (running from side to side). My question is, are these supports original from the factory to re-enforce the roof (there are not bonded to the roof) or were they added by a previous owner when the sunroof was installed to re-enforce the sun roof. They are not part of the Britax sun roof factory hardware. I have posted a picture of the two supports in the photo section under Mike Denman. Obviously you would know if your car had these supports if you have ever had your headliner removed. But you can also feel these supports through the fabric headliner. I would appreciate any feed back on whether other cars have these supports (please include year and model of car). Mike Denman
