I'm curious to know why the wood chassis cars can't be registered in the U.S. Fortunately I'm not in California anymore, but if registering it isn't going to be possible, then I need to rethink my plans for the car.

As it happens I have a Marcos in California, but it is a basket case. ; However I also have a place in Florida and two friends in Tampa with Marcos.

However it may be worth noting that the early wooden chassis cars cannot, apparently, be registered in the USA, or certainly not in California.

I am based in London but let me have your address and phone number and I can contact you when I am next in Florida in about May.

Also we have a 1 hour video on DVD of the Marcos 50th anniversary which includes a long interview with Jem Marsh about the history of Marcos.

Redline www.redlinesportscars.com/marcoscars.php is a good place to start on what prices are. Good luck, importing these cars is not impossible but it is very hard and not cheap!

I'm trying to locate and buy a marcos to import to Florida, I would like to have a mantula if possible. has to be at least 25 years old, anybody any leads? Max I want to spend is around 10,000 in running /good condition. what are my chances
