Need help with race car history, does anyone know this Marcos guy?

2006-07-25 by mgcarma

I spoke with one of your members, Mr Bob Magnotti, he mentioned your
Yahoo group and said that there may be some folks there that can
help.

If any of your members either know of a previous owner of their
Marcos that lived in Eastern PA and went to hillclimbs or the New
Hope, PA car show, this is the person I am looking to find.

Also, this person may have raced his Marcos GT in those hillclimbs.

It is entirely possible that this person also has a Marcos GT and it
is not finished yet, it could be in the "not finished" stage, as he
was looking for parts to complete his restoration at the time. (1989-
1991)

The email I wish to post on your board is copied below, and please
feel free to put this correspondence along with it.

thanks for any help you can give me.
Cheers
Kevin

I am trying to trace the history of a racecar, and I have a lead to
go on, and figured that you folks in the Marcos Club might be able
to help.
Seems the person I need to find was active in the Eastern PA
hillclimbs in the 80's. Either he attended, or competed, I do not
know.
The thing that makes him stand out is that he either owned or
campaigned a Marcos GT. Not a very common car, but that is all I
have to go on.
This person had once owned the racecar I am researching, and it
would mean a great deal to me to speak with him.
He lives in the Eastern PA area and was asking a friend of mine
about MARCOS parts for his Marcos GT. He took down his name and
number at a car show in New Hope, PA and has since lost it.
Any help is much appreciated, and please feel free to email me at:
mg.carma@...
thanks so much
cheers
