Hi Marcos Maniacs, A couple of "house keeping" items this morning. Let me make a case for changing the way we do something with our group. We, as a group,we tend to identify various Marcos cars by their present owners. If you look at the pictures that are presently posted on this site you will see pictures of the members cars. You might think to yourself "Mark has a nice car" or that is a great interior shot". However, the pictures are of limited longterm value since they don't have the Chassis# of the car with them. Add the chassis # and all sorts of neat things are possible. That picture of Mark's car (with the chassis#) might help with your car restoration which is two serial #s away. Five years from now someone might look at the picture of my car at Thunderhill and say either "thats a nice picture of a red Marcos (no Chassis# attached) or "My god, that's the car I just bought and at one time it was at Thunderhill racetrack."(with chassis# attached). While chassis # don't mean much if you own a Mustang, they mean a lot if you own a limited production car like the Marcos. Knowing and keeping track of your car's history will add to its value. From the clubs stand point, using the chassis#s will make keeping track of the various cars easier as they are bought and sold. So let me encourage you to include your chassis # on all your postings, photographs etc. Profiles... Have you wondered why some of the members have more information by their names on this sites membership list than you do? If you go to the membership list and click on your name you can add additional information like where you live and what your name is etc. This makes it easier for all of us to communicate with each other. T-shirts... last reminder to get your order in for a new t-shirt. Monday I will finalize the order with the silk screener. The silk screener indicated last week that he would probably be finished with the shirts by the end of the month. Hayes Harris has volunteered to pay $5 of the purchase price for those of you who buy the t-shirt that has the Wire Wheel Sportscars logo on the front and the Marcos design on the back. So for that particular shirt, the price is $13 including packaging and postage which is a great deal. I will be sending this same message out on the original email list since not all the members have joined this list yet. Best regards, Mike Denman 1966 Marcos 1800 Chassis # 4079
