Hi Maniacs, According to the Car and Driver Magazine article dated Dec. 1970 about the 1970 Marcos, "to achieve the required minimum headlight height here in the U.S., the car was simply jacked up on its front suspension". The springs are not the same front and rear (at least on the earlier cars.) Not only are they different lengths (front and rear) but the springs have different spring rates. The ride height could be adjusted with any shock that has an adjustable "spring perch". For the Marcos, this would include Spax, Koni, and AVO and perhaps others. Be sure and specify the adjustable spring feature because they do make models that are not adjustable for ride height that still fit the Marcos. When I last corresponded with Rory, he was "pushing" the AVO brand and Spax was in receivership. I managed to get the Spax (I believe they are out of receivership now) but only after a long wait and some email correspondance with an engineer at Spax. Hopes this helps, Mike Denman 1966 Marcos 1800 Chassis # 4079
