Hey guys,
I thought you all might get a kick out of this. I had to write a paper using metaphores for one of my clases and I chose the Marcos.

The Marcos. The ultimate driving machine. A tiny car company in England produces one of the most unknown super cars never to become an icon of the car world. The gazelle of the car world, the Marcos can out corner and out maneuver any Porsche, Corvette or Ferrari on the road. While this finely tuned automobile is built from marine plywood, it gives the car the flexibility and maneuverability of a gymnast. This small car company based their car on the wooden glider mosquitoes of World War II, which may explain some of its unique abilities to move with so much grace. When one slips into the driver’s seat of the Marcos, one is transported to the days of WWII and is suddenly sitting in the cockpit of a British Spitfire battling the German Luftwaffe. A twist of the key and the engine growls to life, awaiting the pressure of the pilot’s right foot on the accelerator. As the Marcos dives into corners, vapor trails are almost visible from its wings. While there are many other cars that can overtake this quick little car on the straight aways, no one can stand up to the lightning quick cornering ability of this ace. When the Marcos roars by, pedestrians and drivers alike turn their head on a swivel to take a glimpse of this odd-ball exotic car. Although there are perhaps less than 100 of these cars in North America, 2 can be seen every September at Arvada’s British Car Conclave under the heading of “Other Makes” and shown by Hal Kellerman and wife, Megan.

Hope you all get a good chuckle,

Hal
