Hi Don, I don't know for sure but I bet that the British Ford people used the same rear end casting for all the ratios. (actually there are several castings that are slightly different on the outside made apparently for slightly different applications but with no relation to the ratio inside that fit the Cortina rear ends. Why don't you jack up one of the rear wheels, put the car in neutral, rotate the wheel in the air 1 full turn and count how many times your driveshaft/pinion flange goes around. The available ratios are far enough apart that you should be able to tell which ratio you have. Dave Bean Engineering list the following ratios that would be candidates for your car... 3.55 (3 and 1/2 turns of the pinion), 3.77(3 and 3/4 turns of the pinion), 3.90 (almost 4 turns of the pinion) Of course, you could always pull the rear end apart if you are really courious ;) Mike Denman 1966 Marcos 1800 Chassis # 4079 --- In MarcosManiacs@y..., "Don Lattimer" <donlattimer@p...> wrote: > Mark or anyone, > > The # on my rear axle is FoMoCo # 105E 4025B.
