Re: More Wiper motor/ gearing questions..... Please help!!!!

2001-10-22 by Bob Magnotti

Jeff,

I have been looking for the correct wiper motor for my car also. I
broke the park sensor mounting tab which means I have to manually
turn the switch off at the correct time. That is they will not go to
rest position when you switch them off. No big deal, I can do that.
I have found listings for a Sprite wiper motor but that moror is
physically smaller than the one in my car. I think it being smaller
would mean less drive power also. I have not tried one of those
motors, even though I have several of them. The 120 degrees is the
actual sweep arc of the wipers and 120 is what is in my car. The
actual sweep drive gear is bout 3.5 to 4 inches in diameter. Is that
what you have now?
