manual gearbox on 3ltr Volvo to replace autobox

Hello! 

Has anybody converted a 3 L US spec Marcos GT to a manual gearbox 
config.?? In that case, how difficult is it regarding to pedalbox 
and room enough for 5 speed bellhousing/ shortening/balancing 
driveshaft?
