Mark,
I use to have a Volvo B20E in my first Volvo Amazon 121. It did quite well
even standard but the idle wasn't
good and the injectors was expensive already then 20 years ago. The torque
wasn't the best at low rev
but upper area was good.
As I remember some of the extra stuff you should get are the electric
fuelpump, the fuel regulator (there
are two types, the old one is located (on P1800) on the heaterbox and the
newer one is in the fuelline to
all the injectors), an in-air temperatur sensor (located at the in-air hose
besides the radiator), a water
temperatur sensor (in the top close to the waterpump) and ofcourse the
electronic box. You also need
to put in a return fuel line to the fueltank.
It could be good but I think you will have less trouble with 3xWeber 45 (if
you have room for it) and a good
cam instead. A well done ported top with high compression will make very
much a difference but is more
expensive.

PS. I will soon be offline for some days because I am going to race in
Sweden for some days (I hope,
because at the moment I am trying to put in a limited diff and got it all on
the garage tabel (always behind
the timetable...))
